The Lowcountry Jazz Festival returns to Charleston this Labor Day Weekend

This two-day festival will celebrate the vibrant sounds of jazz at the Gaillard Center.

Charleston

The Lowcountry Jazz Festival is one of the largest jazz events of the year.

Looking to jazz up your Labor Day weekend plans? The Lowcountry Jazz Festival returns to Charleston on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1 at the Gaillard Center.

The annual festival, now in its 18th year, is a collaboration between the Charleston Gaillard Center and Closing the Gap in Health Care, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing health disparities and improving health literacy in underserved communities. The festival serves as its primary fundraiser.

Charleston, known as one of the thriving cities of jazz in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was the birthplace of many notable jazz musicians. This rich musical heritage will be honored by producer Tony Clarke and the Gaillard Center’s team, who have curated a lineup of award-winning national and international jazz artists.

Day one, Saturday, Aug. 31, at 7 p.m.

Day two, Sunday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m.

You can read more about the award-winning lineup of artists, and purchase day one and day two tickets online. Prices start at $68.
