The existing 38,000-sqft Harris Teeter Village Market grocery store could expand to nearly 65,000 sqft. The project has an estimated timeline of beginning in 2027. (The Post and Courier)

The Penn Center is a cultural and educational center dedicated to preserving and promoting Gullah Geechee history. Online, you can see a timeline of its history.
Avery Research Center focuses on Black American history, including the Gullah Geechee people and you can find online artifacts, crafts, and photographs that offer insights into the Gullah Geechee people.
Gullah Geechee Preservation Project — which has recently been granted $100,000 to the Gullah Geechee Preservation Project in Charleston — has an upcoming online informational session on Monday, Aug. 21. Register online.
