Want to learn the game of tennis yourself — or help your student to step up their game overall? We’re here to serve up some good news. The LTP Tennis Academy, located right here in Charleston, offers tennis programming and academic support.
The Academy offers:
Pro player development
High-performance Juniors
Junior development (read: programs designed for ages 5+, 8+, and 10+)
Adult clinics (all levels)
It also features LTP Scholars, a unique model (read: there aren’t many like it in the country) offering academic as well as athletic support, making it feel like a hidden gem in our backyard.
The program provides advanced support in a small group setting to help aspiring players prepare to compete at the collegiate level — on the court and in the classroom. The program is based on the ACE Model, which emphasizes academic support, community building, and efficiency.
LTP Scholars also promotes a growth mindset, civic engagement, and qualities like grit, drive, kindness, respect + responsibility. Community service, school activities, and field trips help students create meaningful connections and friendships.
Azur, the European eatery at 159 Market St., now offers lunch on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., and brunch on Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Some lunch dishes include Dry Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Focaccia Toast Provençal, Azur Burger, and cocktails + mocktails.
