The annual Boyz to Men Conference, now in its sixth year, is experiencing a remarkable surge in participation among young men and concerned parents. Slated for Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m, the full-day event aims to curb escalating violence in the community by fostering discussions on healthy relationships + emotional expression.

The conference’s diverse lineup of speakers, include Chief Eric Watson and SC Representative Wendell Gilliard. Over 250 participants from across the state will meet at West Ashley High School, located at 4060 West Wildcat Blvd. The young men will have also have breakout sessions and musical performances, with a spotlight on local artists CHOYCE, Walter REAL Hills, Brandon Noir, and the West Ashley Band & Drumline. The event is free for young men under 21 and $20 for adults. RSVP here.
