Bonus: The fun will continue into the new year. The Aquarium is hosting a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event (read: you don’t have to be a night owl to ring in the new year), complete with a DJ, face painting and a ball drop before bedtime, to conclude the Aquarium Aglow season.

For our art-lovers out there: The Aiken-Rhett House Museum is hosting a can’t-miss art exhibit throughout November, all thanks to a collaboration between the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA) and the Historic Charleston Foundation.
This exhibit is all about showcasing the incredible talents of young professionals and students. Visitors will get to experience everything from architectural models and detailed sketches to sculptures and paintings. It’s a celebration of classical art and architecture, proving that these forms of expression are still relevant and captivating today.

Chief Joseph Munn will become the new North Charleston Fire Chief on Jan. 1, 2024. He will replace Chief Greg Bulanow, who is retiring. Munn joined the department in 1984 as a recruit firefighter and became Deputy Chief in 2009. (WCBD)

House music fans rejoice.High Tide Music & Arts Festival will return next summer to the Riverfront Park in North Charleston on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
This one-day festival is 21+ and features two stages with over 25 DJ’s, including international headliners and underground + emerging acts.
Now, of course, the music is important, but the High Tide City Market will also be there in full force with a curated food + beverage garden, a collection of regional artisans, fashion designers, and interactive activities.
