Tired of keeping track of dozens of restaurant-related emails and trying to remember to redeem your rewards before they expire? Enter: Blackbird. A new loyalty program that aims to streamline + simplify booking reservations and earnings perks at your favorite spots to eat and drink.

The app is from Ben Leventhal, who is the co-founder of Eater and Resy. The app also helps you create a rapport with restaurants, offering that regular status + special offers the more you use it.

Here’s a quick breakdown:
  • Who: Anyone can join — gain access to the program online or through your phone’s app store. Pro tip: You’ll need a mobile phone number for setup.
  • Where: Use the app at ~50 Charleston-area restaurants and several more in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco — the four locations where the app is currently available.
  • Why: Check in at restaurants and start earning points and unlocking rewards. Think: last-minute tables, welcome drinks, and off-menu items.
