Switchyards Charleston will open on Monday, April 28. Full disclosure — the space is for more than just finishing that big presentation — you can also hang out, read a book, or grab a coffee.

Located on Rutledge Avenue next to Hampton Park, the space will feature high ceilings, skylights, a cafe area for collaboration, and a library designed for work that requires deep focus.

It’s time for some friendly competition.Bodega’s Mount Pleasant location is hosting the third annual “Best in Bread” sandwich competition, where nine Charleston restaurants will go head-to-head to create the ultimate sandwich.
Starting in April, there will be a weekly round featuring three participating chefs who will showcase their skills by crafting a signature sandwich using Duke’s Mayo products — Bodega’s partner. Attendees will sample the sandwiches and vote to determine the finalist from each round, leading up to the finale showdown. Pro tip: Every round is on Mondays in April from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Who will take the title of Best in Bread? Secure your spot; tickets are $25 for each event and $80 if you want to attend all four.
Bonus: Limited-edition “Best in Bread” T-shirts will be available for purchase onsite, with proceeds benefiting East Cooper Community Outreach.
