It’s time for some friendly competition. Bodega’s Mount Pleasant location is hosting the third annual “Best in Bread” sandwich competition, where nine Charleston restaurants will go head-to-head to create the ultimate sandwich.

Starting in April, there will be a weekly round featuring three participating chefs who will showcase their skills by crafting a signature sandwich using Duke’s Mayo products — Bodega’s partner. Attendees will sample the sandwiches and vote to determine the finalist from each round, leading up to the grand finale showdown. Pro tip: Every round is on Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

First round | April 7

Second round | April 14

Third round | April 21

Finale showdown | April 28

Who will take the title of Best in Bread? Secure your spot; tickets are $25 for each event and $80 if you want to attend all four. Pro tip: A discount is available for hospitality workers; just send a message to this email.

Bonus: Limited-edition “Best in Bread” T-shirts will be available for purchase onsite, with proceeds benefiting East Cooper Community Outreach.
