After nearly four decades of fine dining, the Charleston Grill is set to close. The award-winning spot opened in 1989 and is set to close on Saturday, Aug. 23. The closure comes with the hotel’s multimillion-dollar renovation. (The Post and Courier)

The long-awaited Folly Beach History Museum opens this Saturday, Aug. 9, at 3 p.m. The Museum is located inside the Community Center, and its first exhibit will explore the origins of the area’s surf culture. The Museum has been in the works for years and aims to educate residents + visitors.
Traffic
Isle of Palms will conduct a traffic study to find solutions to decrease congestion. The study will observe traffic flow on the island and focus on the Palm Boulevard and 14th Avenue intersection + the connector. (WCBD)
