CR Design Center, a one-stop shop for luxury home building and renovations, is set to call Mount Pleasant home. The town’s Commercial Design Review Board approved proposed plans at its meeting last Wednesday. We could see another round of tidal flooding this week thanks to king tides. The National Weather Service is predicting some flooding around the Charleston Harbor. (WEPR)

Yesterday, crews worked to remove several sunken boats from Lowcountry waterways. Wounded Nature-Working Veterans, a nonprofit organization of volunteer boaters and veterans, along with Towboat Charleston and the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, removed abandoned boats and debris. (WCBD)

A new record has been set for the highest-priced home sale in Charleston, after an estate at 51 East Bay St. closed for more than $21.5 million. The home, also known as the Casper Christian Schutt House, sits on the Battery and is one of the largest single houses in the historic district.
Did you know? The house was originally built around 1800 by German merchant Schutt. The property is made up of four structures totaling more than 15,700 sqft, which include a main house, a guest house (converted from a stable), a second guest house, and an indoor pool.
