The one-and-a-half-acre spot on Ira Road that was set to be the home of Frank & Jack’s, a new restaurant and event space, has been listed.
In a statement, the Frank & Jack’s team told CHStoday, “After thoughtful consideration, we have decided to place the opening on hold as we move in a different direction. This decision was not made lightly.”
The team said they were proud of the creativity and heart that went into the design of this project, and are taking time to reassess and find a path forward.
Don’t get too down in the dumps, there’s still hope for the concept, because the team said: “The concept remains one we believe in... We remain committed to creating meaningful, beautiful spaces and look forward to sharing what comes next when the time is right.”

I’m back again with another installment of Food Rec Friday. If you haven’t made your way to Post House, this is your sign to make a reservation.
I recently visited the spot in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant with the rest of 6AM City team based in Charleston. I had the shimp + quinoa bowl, and it was delish. Pro tip: wash it down with a locally brewed beer; Edmund’s Oast is on the menu.
After your meal, consider making the short drive to Pitt Street Bridge for a stroll.
