Philosophers & Fools celebrates year two on Bogard Street

This downtown bookshop, Philosophers & Fools, is inviting the Charleston community to celebrate two years of drinks, snacks, and books.

front of Philosophers & Fools, the storefront is a white building with a door and windows. You can see box in the window.

We hope this birthday is one for the books.

Break out the party hats, the wine glasses, and the popcorn — it’s time to celebrate. Philosophers & Fools, the cozy Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood bookbar, is turning two and we caught up with owners Jenny and Michael, who told CHStoday that they are so proud of what they created.

“We love that we took the chance to create this space where we can hang out and talk about books and wine all day, and actually made it happen, but most of all, the thing we are most proud of is this wonderful community we’ve built and how our cozy bookstore bar has been embraced by so many. Truly, it is beyond what we could have imagined.”

Looking ahead, the duo hopes to continue being a place where everyone feels welcome, can discover their next read or a new wine to enjoy, and can host educational and inspirational conversations and events for the curious and creative-minded.
