We’ve been examining your Google search history, Holy City. But don’t worry, you’re not the only one looking up newts and orzo salad . We’re glad we’re not alone in our endeavors to expand our at-home recipe horizons.

Google dropped the Charleston areas top trending searches from 2022 and we’re here with the results. Spoiler alert: We like to be out and about in our community.

We were the only place in the US with cigar lounge as its top trending “near me” search. Thanks, Google, we’ll keep this in mind for upcoming content in the new year. Got a favorite? Share it with us .

The Holy City also loves to explore our town by foot — of the four places that had walking trails as a top trending search, we googled this topic the most. Luckily for y’all, we’ve gathered this list of scenic walks and hikes around the Lowcountry.

Hopefully, you have a good rap playlist created for your stroll, because that was our most searched music genre.

More top searches included power outages (which only makes sense, given recent storms Nicole and Ian ), collision repair (peep local car shops ), and batting cages.

Itching to know what else your neighbors have been Googling? Check out the full list of the Charleston area’s top 10 trending near me searches.
