Did you know that there is a free community resource that connects residents to services + information regarding all-things civic in Charleston? The City of Charleston’s Citizen Services Desk is a simple digital resource that can help answer questions, find solutions + complete service requests.

The services desk can help answer questions regarding flood zones, golf courses, city ordinances, farmers markets, Building Codes + more and will connect you to appropriate departments for further assistance if necessary.

Additionally, it can aid in completing various service requests. Frequently requested services include reporting potholes, missed trash collection + noise complaints; paying a parking ticket; requesting sidewalk repair; animal control + more. You can even request special needs services – like handicap ramps – to be installed or repaired.

When reporting a service request, it’s helpful to have this info on hand: the location, description + time frame of the issue/condition as well as your contact info if you want to be notified when your request is complete.

Additionally, the City of Charleston offers an online Citizen Support Center dashboard where you can easily make requests and ask questions + check the status on repairs, solutions and answers.
