To provide a pathway for all community members to achieve their goals — this is the mission of Coastal Community Foundation (CCF), the largest community organization in SC. Acting as a “force for good,” the local nonprofit is powered by people driven to create positive lasting change and aims to create vibrant, inclusive communities rich in equity, opportunity, and well-being by uniting people and investing resources.

CCF works to identify local issues that need to be addressed (think: education, economic mobility, culture and inclusion, coastal resilience, and physical and mental well-being). Once issues are identified, the organization connects donors with causes they are passionate about. This includes:

  • Scholarship funds
  • Arts and Culture
  • Access to healthcare + more

You can get involved through the Community Partnership Program with donations of any size. The program provides support for the organization’s operations by pooling together resources and directing funds to where they’re needed, including disaster relief in response to major storms along our coast.

CCF has not only partnered with corporate leaders like Boeing, Truist, and Blackbaud — it also has a legacy as an incubator for local grassroots organizations that have gone on to become successful independent nonprofits, like:

  • Lowcountry Food Bank
  • One80 Place
  • Center for Heirs Property Preservation
