By The Way, the wait is over for the Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood’s newest hangout. The Spring Street restaurant and bar brings elevated cocktails + bites, and sophisticated yet cozy vibes to the former space the Warehouse called home.

The new space is co-owned by Uptown Hospitality Group — the folks behind Bodega and Share House — and Bravo’s “Southern Charm” stars Craig Conover + Austen Kroll.

Kroll shared in a press release he hopes By The Way becomes “...the ideal all-day, all-night neighborhood hang; a spot where friends old and new come together on the regular for good food, killer drinks, and great fun.” Take a peek inside.

The menu, from Executive Chef Marcus Shell, offers a twist on tavern fare. City Editor Callie here. I recommend the Espresso Tini and the fried oysters and caviar; see the rest of the menu for yourself.

By The Way will be open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and weekends from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. Stay tuned for expanded hours, weekend brunch, and happy hour announcements.
