Step inside the world of art: “Beyond Van Gogh” and “Beyond Monet” are coming to Charleston

Two immersive art experiences bring the works of Van Gogh and Monet to life at Festival Hall this summer.

A symphonic score, along with van Gogh’s own words, dreams, and thoughts, will aim to create a deeply immersive journey.

Get ready to be immersed — literally — in the works of two legendary artists. “Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experiences"will return to Charleston, beginning Friday, July 11 through Monday, Sept. 1 at Festival Hall.

This updated version of the exhibit invites guests to experience the masterpieces of Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet in a new way — with their iconic works projected floor-to-ceiling, set to music.

“Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” will guide visitors through the life and legacy of Van Gogh, featuring more than 100 of his most iconic pieces, including “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Café Terrace at Night.”

Visitors stand inside an immersive art exhibit, surrounded by large-scale projections of Claude Monet’s impressionist paintings on the walls. The artworks depict a woman on a bench in a flower garden and a man reading a newspaper in a sun-dappled park. The space is dimly lit, highlighting the vivid colors and brushstrokes of the digital display.

The exhibit transports visitors to Monet’s Impressionist masterpieces.

New this year is “Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience,” showcasing over 400 of Monet’s most celebrated works, like the “Water Lilies” series and “Impression: Sunrise.”

Tickets start at $29.50, with a limited number of VIP tickets available. Pro tip: You can purchase tickets to either experience individually, or bundle them together for a combo deal.
