We have good tidings: This weekend — Friday, Dec. 16-Sunday, Dec. 18 — Market Street will close between King and Meeting streets to transform into a European-style holiday bazaar.

Miracle on Market Street, which is free and open to the public, will feature community performances, “snowfall" in the street, a pop-up market, food and drinks, family-friendly workshops, visits from Santa, and 4D movies.

Bonus: A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Post and Courier’s Good Cheer Fund, which helps the less fortunate in the Lowcountry during the holidays.

The authors include Pulitzer Prize, Booker Prize, and National Book Award nominees and winners.
Proceeds from the event will benefit SC Aquarium Reef Research.

Book it to your local library — Charleston County Public Library, Dorchester County Library, and the Berkeley County Library System are all hosting summer reading programs.
