In our Where to Wander series, we’ll continue to highlight local areas and spots for you to explore and call out a few of our favorite neighborhood businesses to support. First, brunch

Or, if you’re looking to stretch your legs more, head over to the walking trails at Park Circle Reimagined, the world’s largest inclusive playground.

The Obstinate Daughter, a Sullivan’s Island favorite, is reopening tomorrow, Feb. 13, for dinner service starting at 4 p.m. The restaurant was temporarily closed due to major kitchen damage from a fire last month. Reservations are now live.
Development
Realtor Frankie Wiles shared an exciting update about a new rooftop restaurant coming to the Navy Yard’s Storehouse Nine. It will be the only rooftop restaurant in North Charleston. Wiles also hinted that a well-known local restaurant operator is behind the project — we can’t wait to find out who.

Kiawah Island experienced its most successful year in real estate history, reaching $1.07 billion in closed sales for 2024, a 49% increase from the previous year. Kiawah Island Real Estate contributed to 80% of total sales and predicted continued success this year. (Charleston Regional Business Journal)

The Lowcountry is set to be the backdrop for another reality TV show, this one from the creators of “Love is Blind” and “Married at First Sight.” “Sweethearts” will air on Prime Video and follow the lives of six school couples, as they navigate young adult life. Estelle Colored Glass, a Charleston-based luxury brand specializing in hand-blown colored glass, is opening its first retail location inside The Charleston Place Hotel this Friday, Feb. 14.
The new store will showcase its signature collection of hand-blown glassware and cake stands, inspired by the vintage colored glass collected by founder Stephanie Hall’s grandmother, Estelle. Fun Fact: Founded in 2019, Estelle Colored Glass products are crafted by glass artisans in Poland.
Spanning 1,200 sqft, the space will also feature a permanent mocktail bar where customers can try out their new glassware after purchasing, and a community table displaying Hall’s seasonal tablescapes.
