For the seventh consecutive year, local radio station 96.3 FM Ohm Radio is offering a unique way to surprise your loved one this Valentine’s Day: singing telegrams. On Friday, Feb. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can arrange for a local musician to deliver a live performance of a love song in person anywhere in Charleston and surrounding areas.

For $65, the package includes a handwritten Valentine and your choice of one of the following songs:

  • “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me (Higher and Higher)” - Jackie Wilson
  • “All My Love” - Coldplay
  • “Open Arms” - Journey
  • “Always Be My Baby” - Mariah Carey
  • “You Are My Sunshine” - Traditional

For $80, you can select any song, and the musicians will learn and perform it, accompanied by a handwritten Valentine.

Looking for other options? Ohm Radio is also offering song requests for $25. Choose any song, and it will be played on air during their Valentine’s Day hour, with a shout-out to your special someone.

If your loved one is far away, you can still send them a special message. For $40, Ohm Radio will send a personalized digital video to your loved one anywhere in the world.

Proceeds from these services will benefit Ohm Radio, Charleston’s first commercial-free, listener-supported, and community-focused station.
