Local 5K will support families with Alzheimer’s

The ARK of South Carolina, a local nonprofit organization supporting Lowcountry families living with Alzheimer’s Disease or Related Dementia, is hosting its 24th Annual McElveen Race on Saturday, August 26.

The race includes a 5K walk/run, a one-mile fun run, and youth and corporate team challenges and will take place in downtown Summerville. All proceeds will benefit The ARK.

The ARK’s support services include social respite care, support groups, education, caregiver consultations, resource referrals, and community development. If you cannot participate in the race and want to get involved, visit here.
