Happy National Dessert Day, Charleston friends. It’s basically mandatory that today is designated for us to indulge in our favorite sweet treats with absolutely no guilt. Remember: the word “stressed” is only “desserts” spelled backwards.

🍨 Park Circle Creamery | 1044 E Montague Ave., North Charleston | This ice cream shop uses local, all-natural ingredients to curate homemade ice cream and waffle cones + offers signature flavors that are artfully crafted.

🍰 Sweet Lulu’s Bakery + Cocktail Caravan | 708 S. Shelmore Blvd #102, Mount Pleasant | This bakery that serves up custom cakes, muffins, s’mores donuts + more and has the coolest little traveling caravan that makes appearances at special events.

🍫 Christophe Chocolatier | 90 Society St. (Downtown) + 1901 Ashley River Rd. (West Ashley) | This is the place to satisfy your international sweet tooth. Christophe Paume, the co-owner of this chocolate shop, is a third-generation French chocolatier who makes hand-painted chocolates, truffles + chocolate sculptures.

🍨 Peace Pie | 223 Meeting St. | It’s an ice cream sandwich with a layer of pie filling or brownies, mousses, and caramels.

🧁 Cupcake Downsouth | 644D Long Point Rd. Mt. Pleasant | These cupcakes are made with real vanilla beans, sweet cream butter, fresh fruit, and rich chocolate. Bonus: there are gluten-free + vegan options available.

🍰 Sugar Bakeshop | 59 1/2 Cannon St. | The bakers at this shop, which offers cakes, pies + cookies, pride themselves on being the “small batch, from scratch neighborhood bakery you know and love.”

🍰 Cake Bar by Alexis | 1670 Old Towne Rd. | These cool cakes + treats are decorated with fun designs that can be customized by the customer.
