Score a touchdown by adopting a furry friend at the cutest football event in town. Pup Bowl VIII will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 12 to 3 p.m. at The Oaks at Mount Pleasant Towne Center (across from Barnes & Noble).

This family-friendly day will feature a puppy adoption, kids’ activities, local food truck and beverage vendors, local puppy-themed vendors, and live music including a National Anthem performance + halftime show.

Rules of the game:

  • Potential adopters must visit the registration table before kickoff to receive a registration number. Those who register after kickoff may be accepted case-by-case.
  • Adoptions will be conducted through random drawings.
  • If your number is selected, you will choose a pup on the field that quarter. Your number will return to the drawing if you don’t find your match.
  • Once all pups have been selected for adoption, you can donate to come on the field as space allows for five minutes.

Bonus: Adopters will be entered to win a $500 Park West Veterinary Associates gift certificate for their new pup’s wellness care.

Tickets are $10 per person (free for kids under 12), with all proceeds supporting Charleston Animal Society.
