First day at CHStoday | Photo by the CHStoday team

Hey Charleston, Katie here. It’s bittersweet to share with all of our amazing readers that after this week I will be saying “see you later” to the Holy City + its wonderful people to move to Nashville, TN, where I will help launch 6AM City’s eighth market, NASHtoday.

Before I go, I wanted to say thank you to the people who have impacted my life + made my role as one of CHStoday’s Editors the best experience I could ask for.

From a saltwater hydroponics farm to a historic mermaid riot, you’ve stuck around to learn about some unique + bizarre things alongside me. From the beginning of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic to mental health tips + resources, you’ve been worried, stressed, and unsure right there with me. And from CHStoday’s anniversaries to our virtual 2020 time capsule, we’ve been together celebrating one another’s milestones + accomplishments.

So, here’s to all 62,000+ of you. Thank you for giving me the space to grow in my writing and highlight all the best things the Lowcountry has to offer. Thank you for all of your support, kind emails, and the love you’ve shared for CHStoday in our mission to bring you the most relevant local news every day.

The past ~two years with CHStoday has given me the most incredible opportunities + memories, and I’m excited to continue those as part of the 6AM City family — just a little bit farther away.

Thanks for everything, Charleston. I’ll see you later. ❤️
