On Tuesday, Charleston County Council voted to approve millions in funding for the Mark Clark Extension project, which plans to extend I-526 from West Ashley, to Johns Island, to James Island.

This funding will allow the project to move forward but does not guarantee that it will be completed. The source of the remaining funds needed is uncertain (we’ll share updates in a future newsletter as they become available).

Take a look at the project, by the numbers.
