Kiawah’s Beachwalker Park makes top 10 national beach list

On the heels of NASA launching Landsat 9 next month — a planned Earth observation satellite — the agency decided to spotlight Dr. Beach’s “Top 10 US Beaches of 2021” as seen by Landsat 8, including the Lowcountry’s own Beachwalker Park coming in at No. 9 on the list.

The park on Kiawah Island is operated by Kiawah Development Partners, Charleston County Council, and the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission.

The park offers ocean frontage + a river view and is located at 8 Beachwalker Dr. Know before you go: A photo ID is required for beach chair, umbrella, and wheelchair rentals.
