Everyone has a different reason for wanting COVID-19 to go away for good:

  • Getting the kids back in school šŸŽ
  • Rescheduling that trip to Italy āœˆļø
  • Returning to in-person worship ⛪
  • Being able to see your grandparents šŸ‘“
  • Being able to see your healthcare hero 🩺
  • Finally throwing your dream wedding šŸ’
  • Sports (and tailgating) šŸˆšŸ€āš¾

...and more. But we can all agree that we collectively want this pandemic to subside so we can get back to ā€œnormal life.ā€

Here’s the kicker, Charleston. We need to all take small but important steps now if we want to see our city and state in better shape any time in the near future.

If we don’t make the right choices now, we will continue to face even more difficult choices in the future – like closing businesses (some closing permanently), students not returning to in-person classes at all, no spectators in stands for fall (or spring) sports, and not being able to simply visit our favorite restaurants – just to name a few.

Charleston has a history of overcoming adversity, and we can do it again, but it requires doing our part to protect one another.

So, here are the choices that you can make now:

  • Wear a mask 😷
  • Wash hands 🧼
  • Social distance šŸ”™
  • Protect the vulnerable šŸ‘µ

This is a community problem and it requires a community solution. So let’s make the right choices and make them now, CHS.
