Today’s the day, y’all. The 2020 Charleston Wine + Food Festival schedule goes live this morning at 8 a.m. Exactly 48 hours later – on Wed., Aug. 28 – tix will be on sale. And if you know anything about CHSWFF, you know tickets sell out *fast.*

We want you to be a part of all the hype and y’all know the hype for this event is real – so we put together a quick CHSWFF ticket buying 101.

🗓️ Mon., Aug. 26 (today!): Schedule preview goes live at 8 a.m.

With 120+ experiences to choose from, deciding which events to attend can be overwhelming – even for seasoned Wine + Food vets. Festival organizers get that, so they’re sharing the full schedule 48 hours before ticket sales begin to give you plenty of time to make a decision.

🗓️ Weds., Aug. 28: Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m.

On Wednesday, CHSWFF will host an open office (635 Rutledge Avenue, Ste. 101) from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. for guests to stop by, plan their schedule, + buy tickets in person. From 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., Circe’s Grotto + Life Raft Treats will be selling food, and there will be a pop-up retail shop with discounted festival swag.

Bowens Island Restaurant

Bowens Island has always been a popular location for CHSWFF events in the past. This year’s event is a celebration of East Coast seafood, from Maine all the way down to the Florida Keys. Take in stunning views of the marsh while enjoying live music, sips + seafood.

Waffle House Smackdown
Sat., March 7 | 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Culinary Village at Marion Square
Tickets: $75
If you were wondering what inspired the poll in our newsletter this morning, here’s your answer. In 2020, CHSWFF is bringing back this fan favorite. Four all-star chefs (TBA) will don paper caps + get busy at the grill preparing signature Waffle House dishes. One champion of this breakfast of champions will take away the Master Blaster award.

Flick at Nite
Thurs., Nov. 7 | 6:30-10 p.m.
The American Theater
Tickets: $65
After a last year’s sold-out showing of The Notebook at Lowndes Grove, Flick at Night is coming back for round 2. This time around, guests will enjoy a classic Italian feast prepared by local chefs and sips from local beverage professionals under the bistro lights in the courtyard of the William Aiken House. After the meal, guests will head to the concession stands at the American Theater for candy + popcorn before settling down for an exclusive showing of Big Night.

Holy City Brewing
Tickets: $115 / Locals $85
Holy City Brewing will transform into a multi-night international market. Take your taste buds on a culinary world tour as you explore food stalls from all corners of the world, enjoy live bands + DJs and sip on wine, beer + cocktails. Each night of the market will feature a different chef, beverage + musical performer.

Culinary Village Local’s Day
Fri., March 6 - Sun., March 8 | Noon - 5 p.m.
Marion Square
Tickets: $135 / Locals $95
The Culinary Village is a must any given year – but this year, for the festival’s 15th anniversary, it’s going to be bigger + better than ever. Located in downtown’s Marion Square, your all-access ticket to the Village grants five full hours of tasting, sipping, chef demos, live music, retail therapy + more.

If you like your meals served with a generous helping of knowledge, this event is for you. Some of the industry’s leading experts will lead exciting + interactive experiences where you’ll learn the ins-and-outs of wine tasting, molecular gastronomy, cocktail-concocting, and more. With bites + sips inspired by cafeteria classics and room for you to cut a rug, this one is sure to be an A+.

Cans + Kegs
Friday, March 6 | 2-4:30 p.m.

Canned wine? Wine not? At Cans + Kegs, enjoy an experience as poppin’ as the bottles you’ll leave at home. Plus: take in Insta-worthy views + enjoy delicious bites.

Year-round programming
For those who won’t be available March 4-8, we’ve got good news: CHSWFF is keeping the fun alive around the calendar with the launch of year-round programming. Throughout the year, there will be events like cooking classes, beverage workshops, and industry-focused conversations inside the new Charleston Wine + Food Test Kitchen. Look out for details later on a signature event in the fall, along with the launch of a podcast series next month. A limited number of free tickets will be released for this on Wednesday – so be on the lookout if this sounds like your speed.
