Since its inception in 2006, Charleston Wine + Food has grown to be one of the city’s biggest events of the year. The five-day fest features dozens of activities spanning the tri-county. While all aim to celebrate wine + food from around the world, Lowcountry flare is present throughout.

Plus, for the first time ever, CHSWFF is partnering with NBC’s TODAY show– with Kathie Lee Gifford + Al Roker coming to cover the event. Set your DVR for this Friday at 9 a.m., when the show will be broadcast live from Waterfront Park.

#CHSWFF by the numbers:

$15.3 million. The economic impact generated by last year’s event. Charleston Wine + Food Festival is a nonprofit organization– and 95 cents of every dollar spent producing the festival goes towards its mission to enhance Charleston’s vibrancy + fuel its economic growth.

29,072. The number of people who attended the festival in 2018. Of those, 13,780 festival-goers were visitors to Charleston from cities like Atlanta, Charlotte, NYC, DC, + Boston.

7. The number of ‘Neighborhoods’ inside the Culinary Villagewhich is basically a foodie-themed amusement park in the heart of the city– open Friday-Sunday inside Marion Square. This year’s signature events range from the Hipster Cocktail Party– where guests will sip artisanal cocktails while enjoying a live DJ spinning vinyl, to the Southern Renaissance’– which showcases chefs who are giving new meaning to what we consider traditional Southern cuisine.
