Our top 5 stories for the month of August

Throughout August, we asked y’all a lot of questionsand received more feedback than we ever could have imagined. So much in fact, that in one newsletter we compiled all of your suggestions on how to improve traffic on I-26. Thank you for participating in our antics + keeping us informed when it comes to what our readers want to see.

But, in case you’ve been busy squeezing in last-minute summer vacations and/or preparing for the start of the school year, we’re revisiting our top five stories from this month.

1. Come fly with me | Five non-stop destinations from CHS for under $200
(Disclaimer: As this article was published on Aug. 13, flight pricing + availability is subject to change)

2. Drunken sailors or copycat neighbors? | Debunking the myths of Rainbow Row 🌈

3. Never work a day in your life… | 15 cool jobs open in Charleston right now 💻
(Disclaimer: As this article was published on Aug. 7, some jobs may no longer be available)

4. 3,500 free-ranging monkeys | The story of S.C.’s Monkey Island 🐒

5. Providing service for a century | Local businesses that have been serving the Charleston area for more than 100 years 🏦

If reading all those stories in one sitting wiped you out, take a deep breath + relax. Better yet, try a meditation class to help clear your mind. This month, we provided a list of places to learn how to meditate, too.

Let us know what you would like to see in September in the comments below. 👇
