Mark your calendar for the 2025 Charleston Literary Festival, happening Friday, Nov. 7-Sunday, Nov. 16 at the historic Dock Street Theatre. With 70+ authors and 50+ events, this year’s festival is truly one for the books.

Gather with fellow readers and rub elbows with a diverse cast of authors, including:

  • Media + public personalities | CNN anchor Jake Tapper, Jenna Bush Hager, and “Southern Charm’s” Miss Patricia Altschul
  • Thought leaders | Human rights lawyer Phillipe Sands, scientist Carl Zimmer, architectural critic Paul Goldberger, and astronaut Charles Bolden
  • Award-winning writers | Pulitzer Prize winner Edda Fields-Black and Joyce Carol Oates

Festival-goers can join panels, one-on-one talks, and special programming for educators, students, and traveling book clubs. Bonus: Catch theater performances and film screenings, including Adam Gopnik’s “Talk Therapy,” Branar Theatre Company’s adaptation of “Ulysses,” and a screening of “The Hours.”
