Buckle up, Charlestonians — MINIs To The Max: 65 Years of Spirited Adventures is debuting at The Ultimate Driving Museum in Greer, SC on May 1 and running through January 18, 2025.

Opening day details

The fun kicks off on Tuesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. with the grand opening of the exhibit. Enjoy a barbecue picnic dinner in the outdoor space of The Ultimate Driving Museum and be one of the first visitors to experience the exhibit that features 30 vehicles on display, starting with MINI’s heritage, motorsports, and unique + special editions.

Cause for celebration

This year, MINI will be celebrating 65 years of innovation and unveiling the fourth generation of the model range. Fun fact: While the original Mini is considered an icon of 1960s British popular culture, BMW has owned MINI as a brand for 28 years, and launched the new MINI in 2001.

Mini’s space-saving transverse engine and front-wheel drive layout allowed 80% of the area of the car’s floor pan to be used for passengers and luggage, influencing a generation of car makers.
