Today, approximately 30 local restaurants + food trucks will be participating in Dining Out for Lifeto help raise awareness + support the fight against HIV/AIDS in Charleston. A percentage of the sales will go directly to the Ryan White Wellness Center at Roper St. Francis. (Last year, the event raised close to $60,000).

The Ryan White Wellness Center is a federally-funded program that works to provide quality, comprehensive medical care for people living with HIV/AIDS, and acts as a prevention resource for individuals who are negative. The center supports HIV-positive residents of Berkeley, Charleston, + Dorchester counties in a “welcoming environment” without identifying as an HIV clinic.

Restaurants around the Lowcountry will be donating up to 25% of the proceeds from their breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, + dessert sales (a.k.a. eat out all day + order one of everything). The donation amount + meals offered vary based on location. For a full list of participating restaurants, click here.

If you are unable to dine out– but still want to support the cause– you can make an online donation or download a donor card to donate by mail.
