Did you know? From May 2-9 in 1791, George Washington visited the Holy City on his Southern tour and stayed at the Heyward-Washington House on Church Street. Read more about his visit.

The house was built in 1772 and was home to Thomas Heyward Jr., signer of the Declaration of Independence. Get tickets to visit the home + gardens as part of The Charleston Museum.
