We love taking advantage of S.C.’s bounty of hiking trails this time of year. The leaves are changing colors, the weather is ideal, and there’s no better way to unplug, get away from the grind + appreciate just how gorgeous our state can be.

A few of our favorites:

DYK that Lowes Foods has its own line of trail mixes named after hiking trails in the Carolinas? (Meaning you can snack on Jones Gap Falls Trail Mix or Fire Tower Trail Mix while hiking those trails. Meta.) And as part of Lowes Foods’ Brown Bag collection, they have no artificial flavors or sweeteners, preservatives, synthetic colors, MSG, high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils. 🥜

To celebrate getting out on the Carolina trails this fall, we’re partnering with Lowes Foods to host a photo contest. 📸

How it works:

  • Take a photo on a trail in the Carolinas – *with* a bag of matching Lowes Foods trail mix.
  • Post your pic on Instagram between Nov. 1-Nov. 30, using hashtag #CHStoday and tagging @LowesFoods + @CHStoday.
  • We’ll check out all the posts + draw a random winner from the entrants who follow all the rules. There will be one winner in each market: CHStoday, COLAtoday + GVLtoday.
  • Each market’s winner will receive a Lowes Foods gift basket with a Lowes Foods Beer Den growler and $25 gift card to fill it up with their beer of choice (since you’ll be pretty thirsty after your hike), Sunshine energy drinks + samples of all of Lowes Foods’ trail mix varieties. The Lowcountry’s winning pic will also be featured in CHStoday.

Ready? Grab some trail mix + a hiking buddy. We can’t wait to see your pics. Click below for a few example photos to get you hiked up. 📸
