Good morning, Charleston. Justine here. 👋 We’re kicking off the week by celebrating National Nurses Weekwhich runs today through May 12. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️If you’re a nurse in the Charleston area, you can stop by any BIGGBY Coffee location today for a free 16 oz beverage of your choice (for the first 50 nurses to stop in with I.D.) including lattes, tea lattes, regular coffee, smoothies, frozen hot chocolate, + more.

Special shoutout to all the nurses + nursing students who are serving our community at MUSC Health.

For everyone else, there’s a whole week of other events where you can laugh until you cry, celebrate Greek culture, or settle in for an outdoor picnic + tunes.

Bike to School Day | Tues., May 7 | 8 a.m.-1 p.m. | Mary Ford Elementary | 3180 Thomasina McPherson Blvd., North Charleston | Free | Charleston Moves is partnering with Mary Ford Elementary School + Safe Kids Charleston Area, a program of MUSC Children’s Health, where during each class’ physical education period throughout the morning and early afternoon, we’ll engage students with a fun bicycle obstacle course. 🚲

Garden Concert Series—Women + Sam Cooke | Wed., May 8 | 6:30 p.m. | Lenhardt Garden at the Gibbes Museum of Art | $20 for museum members, $25 for non-members | Bring a picnic and a lawn chair and arrive early to find a spot. Cash bar available on site. 🎶

Wanda Sykes | Friday, May 10 | | 8 p.m. | North Charleston Coliseum | $38.50+ | Join the actress, comedian, and writer for a night of laughter. 🤣

Greek Festival | Friday, May 10-Sunday, May 12 | 5-10 p.m. | Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race St. | $5 | Join in the celebration of Greek culture with food, wine, live music, and dancing. 🇬🇷
