We’re launching into the top 10 highest paying jobs in the Lowcountry, starting with No. 10 and finishing with No. 1. It’s good to know who’s making all the dough around here.

Prepare for launch: This list is based on a 2020 survey by USA Wage in the Charleston, North Charleston, and Summerville areas and is ranked by average annual salaries.

  1. Industrial production managers: $121,490
    9. Physicians (except family medicine): $127,300
    8. Architectural + engineering managers: $127,700
    7. Financial managers: $128,860
    6. Pharmacists: $129,030
    5. General dentists: $132,620
    4. Computer + information systems managers: $138,580
    3. Nurse anesthetists: $160,950
    2. Chief executives: $180,900
    1. Family medicine physicians: $198,550

  • What didn’t make the list: In 2019, commercial pilots claimed the No. 8 spot with an average annual salary of $121,170. They’ve since dropped to No. 11.
