Athletes, actors, and models… oh my. If you’re not careful, you might confuse the Holy City with the City of Angels. There have been several recent sightings of superstars enjoying some downtime in the 843.

  • Greg Olsen | Carolina Panthers legend was seen supporting the Charleston RiverDogs.
  • Shawn Johnson East | Olympic gold medalist vacationed with her family in Charleston.
  • Daniel Jones + Mason Rudolph | The Lowcountry is quite the catch for these two NFL quarterbacks, who were spotted in the Holy City for a second summer. The pair, looking to keep their skills sharp while on vacay, worked out with some receivers from The Citadel.
  • Gigi Hadid | The model visited HART to make necklaces for herself and her mom.
  • Karyn Parsons | Known for her role as Hilary Banks — Parsons hosted two nights of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” trivia at Charleston Sports Pub in West Ashley and Goose Creek.
  • Amanda Seyfried | The actress known for her roles in “Mama Mia,” “Mean Girls,” and “Dear John,” was at Down South for an event that supported her brand, Make it Cute.
  • Mark Wahlberg | Marky Mark was seen on the green at Patriots Points Links.
  • Kevin Spacey | The actor was spotted at The Joe during a RiverDogs game.
  • Mo’Nique | This comedian and Oscar-winning actress was seen downtown at Eastside Soul Food.

This list names those who breezed through town. Of course, the list would be a lot longer if we included all the big names who own homes here, like Stephen Colbert and Darius Rucker, or the folks who are often in town for work... like musicians playing at Credit One or the cast of tv shows “Righteous Gemstones” and “Outer Banks.”

Check out tips in case you come face-to-face with a star + other celebrity sightings from years past.

If they asked you for recommendations where would you send them? Tell us.
