Lace up those hiking shoes, Charleston. The South Carolina 7 (SC7) expedition team is hosting a series of fun and meaningful adventures this July — and you’re invited.

On Thursday, July 24 at 9 a.m., join the SC7 team and Mayor Will Haynie at Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park for a 6-mile hike showcasing the Lowcountry’s natural beauty.

The group will walk across the iconic Ravenel Bridge, take a break at the top to enjoy the stunning views, then head back to the park. Along the way, a hydrologist from the SC Department of Natural Resources will share fun facts about the Cooper River and why it plays an important role in our environment.

This event is a great chance to get outdoors, connect with the community, and learn about conservation, sustainability, and the benefits of spending time in nature.

Pro tip: Bring water + sunscreen.

See you on the trail
