#WheelsUp is a new section of CHStoday, in partnership with Explore Charleston and Charleston International Airport, where we will highlight exciting developments impacting air service from CHS. We’ll cover everything from new carriers + cool destinations to rounding up flight deals for your next vacay. #WheelsUp, y’all. 🛫

One ticket from the Holy City to Mile High City, please. Earlier this month, United Airlines began offering daily direct flights to Denver from CHS. While Frontier + Southwest offer flights from CHS to Denver International Airport (DEN), United’s new service is the first to be daily + year-round. It also means three airlines now connect CHS to DEN, reflecting the growth in demand to and from Charleston for both business + leisure.

Clocking in at just four hours, a flight to Denver connects Charleston locals to the major hub that is DEN – the 5th largest airport in the U.S. and 18th largest in the world. That means increased access to the Southwest + West Coast. United, alongside United Express, operates 429 daily flights out of DEN.

But let’s not forget about one of the best features of flying into Denver: being in Denver. From catching a concert at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre to touring the historic Coors Brewery (not to mention the bounty of craft breweries) and exploring the city by bike to heading a few hours out to one of the iconic ski resorts (Vail-yeah), there is so much to Colora-do.
