Charleston named the #1 small city in the U.S. for the 9th consecutive year

We’ve done it again, y’all: Condé Nast Traveler readers just named our little city the most popular city in the U.S. for the ninth consecutive year.

We’re strong believers that Charleston is the best city in the world, and now we have proof to back it up: the Holy City also claimed the title of best city in the world outside of the U.K. (which got its own category).

The accolades don’t stop there. Also claiming real estate on the 2019 Reader’s Choice Awards:

✈️ Charleston International Airport ranks #7 among the top 10 airports in the U.S. – marking this CHS’ first time ever snagging a spot on the list.

🏝️ Kiawah Island was voted #2 on the list of Best Islands in the U.S.

🏖️ Among the Top 10 Resorts in the South: The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort (#6), Wild Dunes Resort (#10), and the Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina (#2).
