As city editors, we’re fortunate to explore so many exciting things the Holy City has to offer. This month, we stayed busy visiting plenty of fun spots. Keep reading for a wrap-up of what we’ve been up to — and how you can experience them yourselves.
Little Pine at The Ryder Hotel
We got into the festive spirit and visited this holiday pop-up, where you can experience “snow,” reserve a gondola, and even skate on synthetic ice. Deck the palms at this experience, now through Sunday, Jan. 5.
Healing Honey Body Treatment at Aster Spa
We relaxed and enjoyed a spa treatment at Aster Spa at The Dunlin. This peaceful getaway by the Kiawah River is the perfect place for some self-care. Stay tuned for more details about our experience.
Aquarium Aglow
Marvel at the twinkling lights while checking out some aquatic friends at the SC Aquarium. Bonus: we loved seeing Scuba Claus. You can check out the dazzling lights on select dates now through Monday, Dec. 30.
Dinner at Makan
We dined at Charleston’s only Malaysian restaurant, which now offers a new Happy Hour. Enjoy snacks like $5 spiced peanuts, $15 chili mussels, and $10 drinks such as the Kayu Rita, made with Blanco tequila, Chinese cassia cinnamon, pomegranate, lemon, and Peychaud’s bitters. Try the new Happy Hour for yourself, Tuesday through Saturday, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Frannie’s Winter Courtyard
Another holiday pop-up option, we explored where guests can reserve a personal yurt and enjoy dinner and drinks in a cozy, fireplace-filled courtyard. This experience is open through Sunday, Jan. 5.
Holidays at The Den
This cozy escape is dressed up like a cabin in the Italian Alps. The decor will surely make you feel like you’re at a winter getaway. Experience this festive retreat through the holidays. City Editor Erika here, I recommend The Snow Bunny cocktail.
