Here in the Lowcountry, it doesn’t matter if you’re a fine dining establishment, a beloved barbecue spot, or a low-key local favorite — collard greens are typically on the menu. The team here at CHStoday has tasked ourselves with finding the best greens in town, but we need your help. Which restaurant has your favorite Collard Greens?

Three recent spots Newsletter Callie tried:

  • Home Team BBQ | Classic and delicious. You can’t go wrong with these, boasting a perfect balance of smoked meat flavor and vinegar (you just might find yourself drinking the potlikker in the bottom of your cup).
  • Gabrielle’s | Creamed tomato greens, this side is the side we didn’t know we needed. Think: Tomato soup and collard greens had a baby. The side dish features Lacinato kale, collard greens, and Parmigiano Reggiano cream.
  • Get Carried Away | Let us introduce you to your next favorite thing — collard green dip. It’s like spinach dip but with collard greens; it also features scallions, sour cream, mayonnaise, and seasonings.
