We know Charleston is pretty great. We’ve got the beach, history, that quaint town feel, and an exquisite food scene all in a ~30-minute radius. Which is why it’s one of the most popular places for living and vacationing.

With the convenience of all that good stuff in one spot, it’s also a great place to celebrate and where many future brides throw their bachelorette parties. So we’re making this resource for those who may be visiting, or locals who are staying in town to celebrate their love.

City Editor Callie here. Here’s what I recommend for a perfect day in the 843 celebrating the bride-to-be.

CHStoday King Street

The options are endless on King Street, you’ll have the best time exploring the options.

First things first, sleeping accommodations. Hotels are great, but I recommend renting a house and skipping the hassle of having to go door-to-door through a hotel to hang out with your pals. Pro tip: Quality time + rest are key during a high-paced weekend, plus a house will better accommodate a night in.

Start your day with a sip + stroll. Grab a coffee and a light breakfast at The Daily and make your way to The Historic Charleston City Market to walk and explore the four blocks of vendors. Keep the walk going and wander to King Street for shopping and a stop at Candlefish for a candle-making class.

Refuel seaside with The Co-Op’s famous Cali turkey + frosé.

Next, you’ll grab beach bags and a late lunch at The Co-Op on Sullivan’s Island (the California Turkey Sandwich + prickly pear frosé are highly recommended).

Head back to the rental for a quick nap and refresh before enjoying a lovely dinner at The Obstinate Daughter. This southern coastal spot offers French, Italian, and Spanish-influenced dishes from its wood-fired oven and island kitchen. Cap off this perfect day with a sunset walk on the beach.

Check out some recommendations below to round out the rest of your weekend.
