Hey, y’all – Jen here. In many ways, 2019 has been a sad year for Charleston’s food scene: the widely beloved Hominy Grill closed after nearly 24 years, downtown pizza joint Luke’s Craft Pizza shut down shortly after, and, celeb chef Sean Brock left CHS in order to focus on his Nashville endeavors full time. This year, even the New York Times weighed in on whether Charleston can continue to thrive as a foodie destination.

We know, getting dumped sucks – but there’s no point in crying over spilled gravy. Especially when there are so many awesome F+B openings slated for 2019. It feels like I’m adding restaurants to my to-eat list (yes, I have a to-eat list) three times as fast as I’m able to cross one off.

Scroll for every single restaurant opening slotted for 2019. And if we missed a spot, tell us in the comments (or email us at hello@thechstoday.com) so we can put it on our radar.
