Get this, Charleston. There will be a new and unique shopping option inside Hotel Bennett called Marsh & Magnolia, which will open this fall at 404 King St.

The new specialty hat shop will offer a personalized hat-making experience. An expert team of stylists will guide guests through the entire hat design process and help them create their own accessories.

The hats

The hats sold are private-label made from high-quality felt and straw material. The collection aims to bring various styles, colors + specialty drops to coincide with events happening around the Lowcountry all year round.

There will be various styles, including women’s, men’s, and children’s hats. You will also have the option to personalize your hat — think: hat bands, ribbons, pins, stitching, charms, feathers, and brands.

The space

The new space in Hotel Bennett will feature coastal + modern decor, a custom hat bar with a shaping and fitting station, and a retail area with locally sourced products and accessories. Guests can expect upbeat music, a fun atmosphere + a complimentary local beverage.

There’s also event rental opportunities for birthday parties, company events, bridal parties, mommy-and-me outings, team bonding, and girlfriend getaways.

The founders

Marsh & Magnolia is founded by three Charleston locals — Adele Cisco, Erin Engebritson, and Kristin Smoak — whose goal is to create a creative and memorable environment for locals and tourists alike.

Stay updated on the grand opening by visiting its website and following along on Instagram.
