We asked for some of Charleston’s closed-down restaurants that you can’t stop thinking about, and you answered. Here are some of your fond foodie Lowcountry food memories of yesteryear:

Fat Hen on John’s Island!” — Teresa V.

“I truly miss Carolina’s! Spent many evenings there and always enjoyed the brittle basket dessert.” — Rosemary S.

LaBrasca’s on upper King. Best Italian (back in the day) ever!” — Linda W.

“We loved Molly Darcy’s Irish Pub on East Bay. A place where everybody knew your name.” — Ginger S.

“If you’re including shuttered restaurants in Mount Pleasant as well, don’t forget Oriental Garden! The. Best. Sushi. EVER. Such a quaint location, and the best prices too! I’ll never forget their announcement that they were closing, and would be relocating soon. But the closing became permanent.” — Carrie J.

“I so very much miss Cru and the original Minero.” — Tory A.

“I sure do remember Hominy Grill. How could I ever forget it? Does anyone else remember how the guys who worked there used to ask, ‘Isn’t it delicious?’” — Kinnet E.
