We recently gave you the scoop on The Cooper, the highly anticipated luxury hotel opening just steps from Joe Riley Waterfront Park in spring 2026. And if you’re anything like us, you’re counting down the days until those doors officially open.

Here’s the exciting part: you don’t have to wait until next year to get involved.

From Sunday, Dec. 7 to Tuesday, Dec. 9, Charlestonians are invited to a three-day, in-person hiring event in The Charleston Place ballrooms — with interviews and on-the-spot job offers available.

With more than 300 open positions across departments, from managers to entry-level roles, there’s truly something for every skill set. Here are a few that caught our eye:

Pastry Chef, The Cooper
Calling all pastry visionaries: this role invites you to shape the entire pastry program across the hotel’s outlets, crafting innovative desserts, artisan breads, and elegant confections with a talented team.

Creativity, precision, and consistency are key ingredients for success.

Director of Guest Experience
Live and breathe hospitality? You might’ve found your match.

The Director of Guest Experience leads the Guest Experience and Guest Recognition teams to deliver seamless, high-touch service at every turn.

Think: designing and implementing a luxury guest experience strategy that feels personal and meaningful, overseeing VIP stays, and delivering curated itineraries and surprise-and-delight moments.

Spa Attendant
Recognized as the heartbeat of the guest wellness experience, this role ensures every space is serene, spotless, and inviting — from treatment rooms to relaxation lounges.

Detail-oriented, service-minded professionals who thrive on creating calm, luxurious experiences are encouraged to apply.

And those are just a few of the roles available. Explore more opportunities in person from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
