Across the state, at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Greenville is showcasing 135 artists from all over the country at the annual Artisphere presented by TD Bank Festival. Naturally, we wanted to know if Charleston would be represented + were excited to see Kate Rothra Fleming included in the lineup.

Kate splits her time between Costa Rica + Charleston, shaping molten glass into jewelry using an oxygen-propane flame. She says glass really resembles luxurious natural materials (like fur, precious stones, + fine grain woods) and designs each piece based on her interest in natural history + adventure.

Artisphere, which runs from May 11-13, is free for all to attend.
