Did you know? Four Lowcountry artists have been selected to have their artwork put on display at the Park Circle Community Building. Let us introduce you to the City of North Charleston’s Cultural Arts Department’s Artist-in-Residence (AIR), a quarterly residency program.

The 2025 Artists-in-Residence are:

  • Through March: Ester Araujo of Goose Creek is working on paintings and fiber pieces in the AIR Studio.
  • April-June: Najee Wilson of North Charleston will showcase bookmaking + multi-media work incorporating photography, film, and soundscapes.
  • July-September: Kenish Harmon is a North Charleston-based artist who will share her oil painting practice.
  • October-December: Jennifer York of James Island will display her papercut work.

View the works on display at the AIR Studio Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Pro tip: Each artist will host public open studio hours throughout their residency, but those times will vary.
